Klash LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Klash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the Klash mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”), a marketplace that connects Customers seeking mobile vehicle detailing services with independent Washers who perform those services.
This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use the Services as a Customer or a Washer. This Privacy Policy should be read together with Klash's Terms of Service, which governs your use of the Services.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Klash account or use the Services as a Customer, and at least 18 years old to create a Klash account or use the Services as a Washer. The Services are not directed to, and are not intended for use by, anyone below the applicable age for their role.
We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you (“Personal Information”) in the following categories when you use the Services:
Name, email address, phone number, account role (Customer or Washer), and authentication identifiers managed through our authentication provider, Google Firebase Authentication (“Firebase”). We also generate and store a push notification device token for your device, described further in Section 7 (Push Notifications).
Customers may save one or more vehicles (make, model, color, and similar descriptive details) and one or more service locations to their account for reuse across Bookings. This saved information is stored as part of your account and is used to pre-fill and speed up future Bookings.
Vehicle description, service type selected, service location or address, whether the Booking is On-Demand or Scheduled, scheduling details, and any notes you provide in connection with a request for detailing services (each, a “Booking”).
We use Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) to process all Customer payments, KlashPlus subscription billing, and Washer payouts. When you add a payment method as a Customer, subscribe to KlashPlus as a Washer, or complete payout onboarding as a Washer, Stripe collects certain sensitive financial information directly from you, subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
Klash does not store your full card number, card verification code (CVV), or raw bank account details. We retain only tokenized references and transaction records provided to us by Stripe (for example, a PaymentIntent, Transfer, or Subscription identifier) that allow us to associate a payment, payout, or subscription with your account.
To receive Bookings, Washers complete identity verification and payout onboarding through Stripe Connect. We store the resulting Stripe Connect account identifiers, onboarding and verification status (for example, whether identity verification, payout setup, and account activation are complete), and a record of earnings and payout history associated with your account. Klash does not directly store bank account numbers or raw identity documents; these are collected and held by Stripe.
We collect and use location information in three distinct ways:
Address entry and mapping within the Services are powered by Apple's MapKit framework.
As part of completing a Booking, Washers are required to capture photographs of the vehicle at specified points in the service (“Proof Photos”). Section 5 below describes how Proof Photos are used.
After a Booking is completed, Customers may submit a star rating and an optional written note about the Washer who performed the service.
Booking history, dispute and support ticket records, damage claim records, chargeback and payment dispute records, and any communications you send us, including when you contact support or report an issue.
We may automatically collect limited technical information, such as device type, operating system, and general app usage activity, through the infrastructure that powers the Services, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore (our database), and Firebase Storage (used to store Proof Photos and similar files).
We also use Firebase App Check (including Apple's App Attest on supported devices) to verify that requests to our backend systems come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the Klash app, rather than from an emulator, bot, or tampered client. Section 9 describes this in more detail.
We use the Personal Information described in Section 3 to:
Proof Photos captured in connection with a Booking (including before and after photographs) are used only for the following purposes:
Proof Photos are not used for marketing purposes without your permission. If Klash wishes to use a specific photograph for marketing, we will seek your separate, explicit permission before doing so. This Privacy Policy does not, on its own, authorize marketing use of any photograph.
As described in Klash's Terms of Service, Klash may also use anonymized Proof Photos — with identifying details such as license plates removed or obscured — for internal fraud prevention, service improvement, and quality assurance purposes.
Ratings submitted by Customers after a completed Booking are used internally to help Klash evaluate service quality and inform how Bookings are routed to Washers. Ratings are not publicly displayed as of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy. Klash may introduce public display of ratings in a future update to the Services, in which case this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect that change.
Klash may remove ratings or reviews that violate the Terms of Service or Klash's Community Guidelines.
If you enable push notifications, Klash sends notifications related to your account and Bookings — for example, Booking status updates, Washer arrival, payout confirmations, and similar account and job-related events. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's Push Notification service (APNs), which requires a device-specific push token that we store and associate with your account.
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling push notifications does not affect your ability to use the Services, but you may not receive timely updates about your Bookings.
We disclose Personal Information only as necessary to operate the Services:
Klash does not sell your Personal Information to third parties in exchange for money.
Klash uses Firebase App Check, including Apple's App Attest on supported devices, to verify that requests made to our backend systems originate from a genuine, unmodified copy of the Klash app. This helps protect the Services and all users from bots, tampered app installations, and other forms of abuse. This process generates a device attestation signal that is used for verification purposes and is not used to identify you personally beyond confirming the authenticity of your app installation.
We take reasonable steps designed to protect the Personal Information we hold:
No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain different categories of Personal Information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
If you request deletion of your Klash account using the account deletion option available within the Services, or by contacting us at support@getklash.com, we will delete or anonymize your Personal Information where legally possible. Records described above that Klash is required or permitted to retain will continue to be retained for the applicable period, but will not be used to provide you with the Services after your account has been deleted.
As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, Klash does not use cookies, third-party advertising trackers, or third-party analytics services in the Klash mobile application. The Services use Firebase infrastructure (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, and App Check) to operate, secure, and maintain the app, as described in Section 3.10; this infrastructure is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
If Klash begins using cookies, analytics, or advertising technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe that use before it begins.
The Services are not directed to individuals below the applicable minimum age for their role — 16 for Customers and 18 for Washers — and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone below that age. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from someone below the applicable minimum age, we will take steps to delete it.
Klash is currently available in selected Texas markets, including but not limited to Midland, Texas and Lubbock, Texas. Service availability may expand over time, and this Privacy Policy may be updated as our Services grow.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the Services, or applicable law. If we make a material change, we will provide notice through the Services or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
