Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how account deletion works on Klash. It supplements, and should be read together with, Klash's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Independent Contractor Agreement, and KlashPlus Subscription Terms. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Service.

1. Overview

Account deletion is a request to permanently remove your Klash account and associated Personal Information where legally possible. Klash may still retain certain records after deletion, described in Section 8 (What May Be Retained), where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, payment, payout, or other regulatory obligations.

2. How to Request Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time using the account deletion option available within the Klash app. Deletion requires your confirmation, and Klash may request additional verification if necessary to confirm your identity before completing the request.

3. What Happens Immediately

Once you confirm a deletion request, your account is disabled and your access to the Services is removed, subject to Section 4 (Active or Scheduled Bookings) and Section 5 (Pending Payouts) below.

4. Active or Scheduled Bookings

If you have an active or scheduled Booking at the time you request deletion, final deletion of your account is delayed until that Booking is resolved — completed, canceled, or otherwise closed out. Your account remains disabled to new activity during this time, but is not fully deleted until any active or scheduled Bookings are resolved.

5. Pending Payouts

If you are a Washer with a pending payout at the time you request deletion, Klash continues to process that payout through Stripe Connect. Requesting deletion does not cancel or forfeit a payout you have already earned.

6. KlashPlus

If you are a Washer subscribed to KlashPlus, requesting account deletion automatically cancels your KlashPlus subscription and prevents future renewals. Consistent with the KlashPlus Subscription Terms, this does not entitle you to a refund for any unused portion of your current Trial Period or Billing Period.

7. What Gets Deleted

Where legally possible, account deletion removes:

• Your profile information
• Saved vehicles
• Saved service locations
• Push notification tokens
• Account preferences

8. What May Be Retained

Klash may retain certain records after account deletion, where necessary for the following purposes:

• Payment and Stripe records — required to maintain accurate financial records and to comply with payment processor obligations.
• Tax records — required to comply with applicable tax and accounting law.
• Booking history — retained where necessary for legal, financial, or operational recordkeeping.
• Fraud investigations — retained where necessary to investigate or prevent fraud.
• Chargebacks and payment disputes — retained where necessary to resolve an open or potential chargeback or payment dispute.
• Damage claims and other disputes — retained where necessary to resolve an open or potential dispute.
• Proof Photos — retained only for as long as required for the purposes described above, such as an open damage claim, dispute, or fraud investigation.
• Support communications — retained where necessary for recordkeeping or to resolve an open matter.
• Other legal obligations — retained where required by applicable law or regulation.

Klash does not use records retained under this section to provide you with the Services after your account has been deleted.

This Policy does not state a specific retention period for these records; retention periods depend on the applicable purpose and legal requirement.

9. Restoration

Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is fully deleted, it cannot be restored. If you wish to use Klash again after deletion, you will need to create a new account.
